How do I get full marks on exam questions???

Just thought I would quickly touch base with everyone.  Hope you are all studying hard!  Less than a week to go.

This is from your school diaries.  It's an important bit of information that works very well when writing exams.  Use this format when you are doing past papers and writing the exam.

Hope this helps........

Underlined VERBS.....

1. if the question asks you to EVALUATE....  Answer like this.

First - Give a definition
Second - Draw a table for the points for and against.
Third - Discussion.
       Fourth - Judgement.

Example:

Telstra is doing some market research into modern mobile phone technology.  Your role is to evaluate your present mobile phone with the latest "i phone" from Apple.  Consider all aspects of mobile phone technology including features, phone call coverage and cost.

Answer:

Definition:  Mobile phone technology allows people to readily communicate by allowing microwave transmission (electromagnetic radiation) from a phone to a base station.

Table:

For Against
More features available Fewer features in old phone
Better design with larger screen Poor design - small screen
Able to download large amount of data More expensive to purchase

Discussion:
The "i phone" will allow access to a great amount of data, music and other material. Cost will be an important factor as they are expensive.

Judgement: The modern "i phone" is an excellent choice for a student because of the latest features that it contains.

I hope this helps. I will put up the format for some of the other very common key terms later today. Remember, how you answer the question is just as important as the information that it contains.
